Is Name That Fart really free to play?
Yes, completely. There's nothing to buy, no subscription, and no account required. The site is supported by ads, which is also why you may see the occasional banner while you play.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. Name That Fart runs entirely in your web browser — just visit the site and start playing. It works on desktop and mobile browsers alike.
Is this safe for young children to play?
The game is designed to be family-friendly from the ground up. All animations and sounds are silly rather than gross or crude, and every name a player submits passes through an automated content filter before it can appear publicly. That said, as with any website, we'd recommend a parent or guardian is aware of what their child is playing, particularly for very young children.
How does the content moderation work?
When you submit a name, it's automatically checked against a filter that blocks profanity, sexual content, violent or dangerous language, and other inappropriate submissions before they can appear in the Live Fart Feed. If your entry is blocked, you'll see the Content Guard pop up to let you know. No filter is perfect, so if you ever spot something that shouldn't be there, please let us know straight away.
Are the entries in the Live Fart Feed from real players?
The feed mixes real submissions from players with simulated entries and activity, which keep the feed lively and interesting to scroll through even when player traffic is quiet. We're upfront about this: it's part of what makes the game feel fun and alive rather than a comment on any deceptive intent.
What is the Cloud of Fame?
It's our running leaderboard of the five highest-voted names from the past 24 hours. Vote with the thumbs-up button on any entry you find funny, and if it climbs high enough, it'll earn its place in the Cloud.
How does the Share Fart button work?
Tapping Share Fart generates a link to the exact sound and animation you just heard, which you can send to a friend via text, WhatsApp, email, or wherever you like. When they open it, they'll get a one-tap prompt to hear the very same fart you shared — browsers require a tap before playing sound, so it can't play automatically the instant the page loads.
Do you collect any personal information?
No accounts, no sign-ups, and no personal data collection beyond what's needed to serve ads (see our Terms and Conditions for details on third-party advertising and cookies). Name submissions are not tied to any personal identity.
Why do I see cookie and ad notices?
The site is monetized through Google AdSense, which may use cookies to serve ads. You'll see a cookie consent banner on your first visit, and you're free to accept or decline it.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes — the site is fully responsive and designed to work just as well on a phone or tablet as it does on a desktop browser.
I found a bug, or a name that shouldn't be on the feed — what do I do?
